THERE are more and more TV shows to look forward to this week as some hotly anticipated shows hit our small screens.
But not sure where to start? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the list below.
Top Boy – Netflix
The mean streets of the Summerhouse Estate in east London are calling once again, and as we rejoin Dushane (Ashley Walters) for a new eight-part run, the drug dealer is feeling untouchable, having seen off the challenge of young rival Jamie (Micheal Ward).
Dushane is now the undisputed kingpin on the estate and the money is rolling in, and things are good with Shelley (Simbi Ajikawo) – he’s even beginning to dream about a wildly different future.
Inevitably, though, fate has other ideas, and a sudden and unexpected problem threatens any sense of security and superiority – then Dushane finds himself making Jamie an offer that doesn’t go down well with the rest of the gang…
Meanwhile, Sully (Kane Robinson) is still haunted by killing Dris, and any hope he’d had of getting his life back on track vanishes when he’s dragged back into a familiar but ferocious world.
Just like previous seasons, Top Boy is tough and compromising stuff, steeped in violence, drugs and death. But it’s also realistically gritty rather than gratuitous.
WeCrashed – Apple TV+
Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway star in WeCrashed[/caption]
If you’ve not heard of Adam Neumann before, prepare to become fascinated.
Ten years ago, Israeli entrepreneur Adam found fame and massive fortune as the founder of shared workspace start-up company WeWork, before a spectacular fall from grace.
Played by Jared Leto, Adam’s story – and that of his former company – is told in this compelling eight-part drama charting his journey from an Apprentice-candidate-style chancer to charismatic billionaire businessman and his eventual forced resignation as the CEO of WeWork.
At its heart, WeCrashed is as much about Neumann’s intense and turbulent relationship with his wife Rebekah as it is his desire to be a massive success.
Jared – complete with prosthetic nose – is fantastic as Neumann, a restless whirlwind of energy, big ideas and increasing paranoia, while Anna Hathaway provides the perfect foil as the steely Rebekah.
Admittedly, neither character is particularly likeable but thanks to those performances and a welcome sprinkling of dark humour, WeCrashed is a wise investment of your device-watching time.
Is It Cake? – Netflix
The latest baking show has to be seen to be believed[/caption]
Forget the showstoppers on Bake Off, the cakes you’re going to see in this incredible new competitive baking show are ridiculous. In a good way.
The name of the game is for some of the world’s most skilled bakers to create cakes that look exactly like everyday objects – everything from handbags to sewing machines – and then to see if their creation can fool a panel of celebrity judges.
Should they manage it, there’s some very real cash prizes up for grabs.
Hosted by US comedian and actor Mikey Day, it’s utterly addictive, mouth-watering and genuinely jaw-dropping fun.

Dales For Sale – Discovery+
Forget Los Angeles, Sydney and the Hamptons – if you’re looking for addictive estate-agency reality-show thrills, the Yorkshire Dales is the only place to be.
Yes, this new eight-part series follows local estate agent Marcus Alderson and his team, as they work round the clock, wheeling, dealing and selling stunning properties in one of the UK’s most picturesque locations.
Featuring bitter bidding wars, dramatic dream homes and enough estate agent bravado to fill a cavernous converted barn, it’s an enjoyably close-to-home twist on a familiar telly format.
